The Domestic Violence Legal Service (DVLS) is seeking an experienced and dedicated solicitor with initiative to join its team. This exciting new position will involve the delivery of advice and assistance to victims and survivors of domestic violence in the Darwin and Greater Darwin area and regular court appearance work.


DVLS is a specialised stand-alone service which operates under the auspices of the NT Legal Aid Commission.  DVLS is committed to delivering high quality legal advice and representation to victims of domestic violence and includes a dedicated worker providing non-legal services to advance the safety and wellbeing of women and children.  The service also undertakes law reform and policy, prevention and early intervention activities, such as the development and delivery of community legal education.


If you are looking to make a positive contribution to those whose lives are affected by domestic violence, then we would like to hear from you.  The position will offer on-going training and supervision.  


A contract will be negotiated based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.  Employees of DVLS have similar working conditions to that of the Northern Territory Public Service.
